The Washington Ballet at John Eaton Elementary School

Every year the 2nd grade students at John Eaton participate in the The Washington Ballet program DanceDC.  

The goal of The Washington Ballet's DanceDC program is to help students:

• Engage in a program that supports DC Public School efforts to improve reading test scores and vocabulary comprehension and provides opportunities for creative thinking 
• Learn teamwork through cooperative learning 
• Develop a greater sense of self-esteem, confidence and discipline 
• Study the principles of dance and gain an appreciation for the arts

The 8 week program culminates in a performance highlighted in the photos here.   A special thank you to beloved master dance educator Ms. Saki Scheller for her amazing work with Eaton's students.
