In our beginner ASL course, students will learn the signs for the alphabet, numbers, and basic
vocabulary terms and sentences in a fun, child-friendly environment. Parents are invited to join
us on the last day of class for Parent’s Day.
Better Basketball with Mr. J: About Mr. J. My full name is Juwan Brock and I have played basketball since I could pick up a
ball. I love the sport and would love to teach what I know to the youth, creating better basketball players. What is basketball? Basketball is a FUN sport that also teaches discipline, focus, and physicality. Basketball is a great sport for students to learn and enjoy. I will help students improve their motor skills, hand eye coordination, and overall physical fitness. In this program they will learn how to dribble, shoot, pass, and defend (fundamentals) as well as develop their agility, speed, and endurance. Not only will students improve as individuals but they will also learn the importance of working with their teammates to achieve a common goal. In addition, basketball can teach students the value of hard work, determination, and perseverance as they strive to improve their skills and compete against other teams.
