Congratulations Ms. Mistry and Mr. Lewis DCPS 2018 Rubenstein Award Recipients! The Rubenstein Awards for Highly Effective Educators honors excellent teachers, school leaders and support staff and aides with an award of $5,000. The awards are funded through the generosity of David Rubenstein, co-founder and managing director of the Carlyle Group and chairman of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Eligible teachers must earn a rating of Highly Effective under the IMPACT Teacher Performance Evaluation System . The Rubenstein Award for Highly Effective Teaching winners will be recognized at the annual Standing Ovation for DC Public Schools, hosted by DC Public Education Fund at the Anthem in the SW Waterfront in February 2019. Thank you, Ms. Mistry and Mr. Lewis, for your dedication to the students at John Eaton ES. |

Congratulations to Eaton 3rd grader Lucien Bell on being a finalist in the Doodle 4 Google challenge! Lucien's doodle was made with recycled parts from a DVR. Ms. Lavezzo is one of the enrichment teachers for grades 1-5 at John Eaton Elementary School. She previously taught fifth grade.
