Rehearsal Schedule
Mar 6-22: Mon-Thurs; 3:30-5pm
Mar 26-30: Spring Break
April 2-27: M-Thur; 3:30-6pm
April 30-May 16: M-F; 3:30-6:15pm
May 7: 1:30pm dress rehearsal followed by rehearsal ending at 4:30pm May 8: 5pm rehearsal; 7pm show May 9: noon rehearsal; 2pm show and 4:30 rehearsal; 6:30pm show (some kids stay all day)

General Timeline
January – auditions and show design; rehearsals begin
February – casting and rehearsals in classrooms; techies join rehearsals; parents sign up for different ways they can assist with the production
March – rehearsals move to the stage in the MPR and extend until 5pm; techies attend all rehearsals and techie jobs are assigned
April – show begins taking shape – costumes, sets, and props, etc. Rehearsals run until 5:30/6
May – rehearsals run until 6/6:15pm; lots of work, but also lots of excitement; performances on May 7th, 8th, and 9th
June – DVD is released and cast party

Students will maintain consistent rehearsal attendance and positive behavior. Disruptive behavior and unexcused absences will result in the following consequences:
- Warning from production staff with an explanation of misbehavior (ex. talking to friends during rehearsal, unexcused absences).
- If a cast/techie’s behavior is deemed unacceptable by the production team, the cast member/techie may be cut from the performance or reassigned to a position with reduced responsibility and involvement.
Participation Fee

The Lion King 2016

The participation fee is $150 per student and covers materials and licensing, costumes, artwork, sets, props, make-up, sound engineer, videographer, printing and t-shirts, choreographer, and lighting. Payment is due by January 31st.
