The John Eaton Musical 2023

Save the Date! The Eaton Spring Musical is back and we are just three weeks away from presenting a spectacular production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr in our very own Eaton Playhouse! The 4th and 5th grade cast and crew have been working hard under the impressive leadership and tireless effort of our wonderful teachers and staff to make this the best show in town! We are especially excited because this is the first Eaton musical of the post-pandemic era and we are thrilled to be able to bring back the magic and dazzle you with the creativity, talent, and professionalism of all involved.
Tickets are now for sale!
Performances are Friday, May 19 at 7 pm and Saturday May 20 at 2 pm and 6:30 pm at Eaton. There are also opportunities to send personal “Best Wishes” messages of thanks and support to be printed in the program. Please stay tuned for additional information, and if you have any questions about how to get involved with ticket sales, concessions, or spreading the word, please reach out to musical@eatondc.org.

Student Expectations
At Rehearsal
  • Pay attention and take it all in.
  • Be flexible: there is much to figure out and plenty to do.
  • Bring script and a pencil everyday.

At Home
  • Read through the script.
  • Listen to the music.
  • Parents: Please help your child keep track of script!
  • Review stage direction and other information in the script.
Students will maintain consistent rehearsal attendance and positive behavior. Disruptive behavior and unexcused absences will result in the following consequences:
  • Warning from production staff with an explanation of misbehavior (ex. talking to friends during rehearsal, unexcused absences).
  • If a cast/techie’s behavior is deemed unacceptable by the production team, the cast member/techie may be cut from the performance or reassigned to a position with reduced responsibility and involvement.
