Practical information
New parents
- Enter school through the right hand side gate directly on Van Ness St. If you get to the UDC compost, greenhouse and the playground you've gone too far!
- Are you a new family and would like to talk to a veteran Eaton family to ask questions about… well, about anything in regard to our school? The HSA has a family mentorship program that brings families together. Please send an email to Michelle Charter, and the HSA will find the right match for you!
- Veteran Eaton parents - if you are willing and interested in being a mentor for new Eaton families, send an email to Michelle. It generally requires being available for questions via email (or maybe nowadays through Zoom). Please provide the names of the teachers your child(ren) have previously had to help make the best matches.

Eaton Modernization

In June 2017, the DC Council approved funding to accelerate Eaton's renovation. Please see the June 2017 updating the community. Eaton was previously scheduled for renovation in 2023. Please see the April 2017 letter notifying the school of our place in the renovation queue.
Keyboarding Practice |
Parents! Your child will been given an access to Clever Keybording Practice application. Kids need their student ID and their password is their digital birthdate MM/DD/YY. 10 minutes/day practice will get them proficiency on the keybaord. Longer, and their fingers get tired. Some do practice more and that is fine.
