Room Parents are an integral part of each Eaton classroom. They work with teachers to communicate information to other families in a class, and help coordinate class participation in school-wide activities, such as Teacher Appreciation Week and Eaton's Annual Auction.
​It's a great way to be really involved and informed about your children's activities.

What does a Room Parent do?  

• Sends emails to the class alerting parents and caregivers of upcoming school events,
• Helps the teacher organize for classroom events, 
• Solicits and collects funds and organizes class gifts for the teacher,
• Solicits and collects funds and coordinates a class basket for the Annual Auction. 
• Set up the class directory, send updates and friendly reminder to the class Whatsapp group, etc

What kind of time commitment is required to be Room Parent?
Two to three parents typically share the role of Room Parent and divide the responsibility. In general, Room Parenting requires a few hours each month, with additional hours necessary during holidays, Annual Auction planning, and end-of-the-year activities. This role does not require you to be at Eaton for most events, but an ability to forward emails in a timely manner to your class.
